He graduated from the University of Bucharest and holds a PhD from the Politehnica University of Bucharest. His research activity spans over 17 years with more than 50 published papers, one book and 2 patents.
He is currently a research scientist with the National Institute for Laser, Plasma and Radiation Physics and his scientific interests include interferometry, non-destructive measurement (e.g. vibration, displacement, roughness), THz imaging, Fourier spectroscopy, optical metamaterials and gravitational wave interferometric detection.
