She is currently Senior Research Scientist at the National Institute for Laser, Plasma and Radiation Physics. The research activity of SA was concentrated on laboratory spectroscopy and was performed in three groups: LSG (INFLPR, Romania), Applied Physics Group (University of Nijmegen, Netherlands), Joint Laboratory Astrophysics Group of the Max-Planck-Institute for Astronomy at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena. The spectroscopic techniques employed were: absorption and fluorescence spectroscopy, FTIR spectroscopy, differential laser absorption spectroscopy, laser induced fluorescence spectroscopy, cavity ring down spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, laser induced breakdown spectroscopy.
